Paper jams are a common occurance. This is a nice printer especially for the money. There are a few problems. It does take a tad too long to print also, but I did not expect great things for a cheap printer. It does the job and doesn't hurt the pocketbook.
Wanted a printer compatible with broken one mainly for cartridge purposes. Even though slightly out-of-date, third party shipping cost was excessive.
I have been using HP printers so long I can't remember my first purchase. This printer is nothing more than a piece of junk. HP should be ashamed to be selling this flimsy trash.
I've gone through several printers in the last few years. This printer is faster than any I've owned. It holds up to 80 sheets of paper. This one is different. Lastly, refill ink cartridges are fairly reasonable, with b/w below $15 and color below $20. It makes beautiful copies. I've experienced awful copies, ink that runs out constantly (at $25 or so a pop) or just printers that decide not to work. And the design is very nice.
I don't use it for photos, usually, but both color and b/w pages print clearly every time. The ink has lasted me several months now. It has a low profile that fits easily on our narrow shelves. I'm very glad I purchased this printer, I finally have one I can rely on.
I printed 2700 or more pages with the original ink. In fast draft setting. Color.Still the colors looked great, even as the pages were rush printed.I then took the cartridges to walgreens to refill, and the ink sucked big time. so, if you run out of ink, just don't refill at walgreens.
